Oscar Williams

Forensic Psychologist

Oscar Williams is a forensic psychologist and is registered as an allied health provider with Medicare. He has worked in the private and public sectors in both forensic and clinical settings.

Oscar has experience in the assessment and clinical treatment of a range of problems including anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, depression and substance abuse. He also has experience in forensic assessments and treatment – specifically in the area of terrorism, violence and sexual offending (including treatment for unhealthy sexual fantasies/arousal) and has worked with forensic disability clients. Furthermore, Oscar has designed and implemented mental health and offence-focused programs – he developed the SBC-me for sexual offenders with cognitive deficits and implemented Dialectical Behaviour Therapy to individuals within the Adelaide Women's Prison to address suicidal and self-harming behaviour. He has also developed and facilitated a number of intensive training packages on the subject of assessment and treatment. As a trained forensic psychologist, Oscar is experienced in conducting assessments for a range of court purposes, including pre-sentence hearings.
